Dengue is rising rapidly across Bangladesh. More than 45,000 cases and 130 deaths have been recorded since January, while September is seeing more than 1,200 hospital admissions each day.

The coming months are expected to remain a critical period for dengue transmission. Communities need stronger prevention, awareness and timely response to reduce the risk of severe illness and loss of life.
