The contribution comes at a critical time as Bangladesh continues to respond to the devastating floods that have affected thousands of families across several districts. Through its nationwide network of staff and volunteers, BDRCS has been delivering emergency humanitarian assistance, including food, safe drinking water, emergency shelter materials, health services, and other essential relief items to communities in need.

This generous support from Commercial Bank of Ceylon will help strengthen BDRCS’s ongoing response efforts, enabling the organization to reach more flood-affected people with timely and life-saving assistance. Speaking on the occasion, representatives from both organizations reaffirmed the importance of collaboration between humanitarian organizations and the private sector in addressing the needs of vulnerable communities during emergencies. Partnerships such as this play a vital role in ensuring that humanitarian assistance reaches those who need it most.
The Bangladesh Red Crescent Society expresses its sincere gratitude to Commercial Bank of Ceylon for standing with flood-affected communities and supporting the organization’s humanitarian mission. As the auxiliary to the Government of Bangladesh in humanitarian services, BDRCS remains committed to delivering impartial, timely, and effective assistance to people affected by disasters across the country.
