On 26 July 2025,the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) hosted a groundbreaking stakeholder meeting titled“Hospitality Meets Humanity – Empowering Hotels to Support Humanitarian Action” at the Population Movement Operation Office in Cox’s Bazar. Jointly organized by the Cox’s Bazar District Unit and the Fundraising Department, the event marked a significant step toward fostering collaboration between the hospitality industry and humanitarian action.
The gathering brought together over 28 leaders from hotels and resorts across Cox’s Bazar, creating a platform for dialogue on how the hospitality sector can contribute meaningfully to humanitarian goals.
The event was graced by the presence ofBDRCS Chairman, Major General Prof. Dr. Md. Azizul Islam (Retd.), who presided over the program and emphasized the vital role that hotels and resorts can play in supporting vulnerable communities. His guidance underscored the importance of sustainable partnerships between the private sector and humanitarian organizations.
